The following is a message from the Kingston family:

‘The women (and their posse) are back!

Join us for a very special night of live music in aid of Ovacare and West Cork Women Against Violence. This is the 6th year of celebrating all of the women in our lives, with a virtual event in between, and we have raised a massive €27,000 so far. Thank you to every single person who has donated.

Now it’s time to get back to our beloved DeBarra’s where we can dance, hug, sweat, and feel the energy and good vibes! This year’s theme is all about the 80s so please get your neon headbands out and join in the fun.

The two very worthy charities do amazing work for women in West Cork and beyond. Ovacare aim to give a voice to, and provide support for, all those affected by ovarian cancer in Ireland, while the West Cork Women Against Violence Project offers free and confidential listening, information and support services for women experiencing domestic violence.

As always, this is in memory of the incomparable Catherine Kingston who left us way too early, but it is also a celebration of the resilient, strong and bad ass women in all our lives.

Tickets on sale 26th February in DeBarras.
