Basciville

Basciville are an Irish songwriting duo made up of brothers Cillian and Lorcan Byrne. Blending Rhythm & Blues with Jazz, Folk and sonorous Orchestral harmony, Basciville offer a different angle on modern Pop music.

Irish music has a rich history of soulful and blues influenced music. Looking to add to this are Basciville.

Hailing from county Wexford, Basciville are a brother duo, both with degrees in music and many years experience recording and touring with various acts.

Live, Basciville becomes a six piece of multi instrumentalists including main stays Chris Colloton and Brian Fanning amongst other returning players. A highly spontaneous offering of improvised moments awaits.

The bands sound aims to mix a pop sensibility with jazz and blues colours and structures. Influences range from Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Laura Mvula, Ella Fitzgerald, Jeff Buckley, Van Morrison to jazz greats like Charles Mingus, Miles Davis as well as contemporary jazz artists like Tigran Hamaysan, Cory Henry and Joshua Redman.
